- ADA HPI runs practice surveys, not audited reporting: these are sample means and medians across owner and employed dentists.
- Dentist income is not practice margin: GP net income comes after practice expenses but before personal taxes.
- Total overhead of 60–65% of collections is the aggregate bar; the category split (payroll, lab, supplies, rent) is poorly covered by open data and is not published here.
- Russian market figures are research-firm estimates quoted with attribution; the official and private market-size estimates diverge — both are shown.
